| ASOR Call for Posters |
ASOR invites members to submit poster proposals for both the virtual (online, Oct. 19-23) and the in-person (Boston, Nov. 16-19) components of the 2022 Annual Meeting. The proposal deadline is August 1. Use the online Poster Proposal Form to submit your poster abstract of 250 words or less to either or both meeting components. Read the Call for Posters to learn more about the 2022 Poster Session and guidelines for participating before you submit your abstract.

| CHI Update: Oudna, Tunisia Workshop |
On May 20-22, ASOR partnered with Libyan Department of Antiquities, the Libyan Museum Suitcase team, the Tunisian Institute national du patrimoine, and the Tunisian Scouts to hold a three-day workshop at the archaeological site of Oudna in Tunisia. This outreach event focused on the protection of cultural heritage in Libya and the Maghreb. The workshop was sponsored by the U.S. Embassy to Libya, External Office (LEO), and it was organized by ASOR and the Tunisian Scouts within the framework of a Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grant (CPAIG). | Harvard Museum Reception for Annual Meeting Attendees |
Are you attending the ASOR Annual Meeting in Boston? The Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East is hosting a reception on Saturday, November 19 for registered ASOR attendees at 7:15pm and 8:30pm. Two times are being offered to safely accommodate as many people as possible. After the Annual Meeting, head over to the museum in Cambridge to see the exhibits and enjoy light refreshments. Tickets are complimentary, but must be reserved in advance as space is limited. Learn more about the reception here.

| ANE Today Editor Job Opening |
ASOR seeks an editor for The Ancient Near East Today, a weekly e-platform for shorter to medium-length, non-technical pieces aimed at the general public, of interest to students, faculty, and other professionals in related fields. Review of applications began in March and is still ongoing. We welcome new applications which will receive full consideration. | Congratulations to the 2022 ASOR Fellowship and Grant Awardees |
Congratulations to the 2022 grant and research fellowship awardees. This year's awardees are conducting fieldwork in countries from Iraq to Egypt and studying collections throughout Europe and the U.S. Click here for a list of the 2022 awardees! In addition to these grants and fellowships, ASOR has awarded 57 field participation scholarships of $2,000 each. | Call for NEA Volunteers |
As part of its new Non-English Language Abstract Initiative, Near Eastern Archaeology is in need of volunteers with a background in Near Eastern archaeology who are native-language speakers of Arabic (with a strong command of Classical), Farsi, Greek, Hebrew, and Turkish. The volunteers will be required, when necessary, to proof-read abstracts of no more than 150 words each in the relevant language. NEA publishes up to eight articles four times a year. Attention to detail is necessary, as is the ability to work within a deadline. To volunteer, please send a statement of interest and a CV to NEA Editor, Stephanie L. Budin at nea-editor@asor.org.

| Fellowship Program for Emerging Displaced Scholars |
With the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Columbia Global Centers | Amman has established the Mellon Fellowship Program to support emerging displaced scholars working in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. The goal of the program is to create opportunities for scholars to reintegrate into academia and resume their academic pursuits. The deadline to apply is July 2nd, 2022. Eligible candidates are scholars in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who have been forcibly uprooted from their home countries and respective academic institutions. They could be graduate students who have had their education disrupted or post-doctoral scholars in the early stages of their careers. Creative writers, artists, and curators may also apply.
