| FOA Webinar: Beginnings of American Biblical Archaeology on Jan. 20 |
Register for our next webinar on Thursday, January 20, at 7:00 pm EST, featuring Rachel Hallote's talk on "The Not-So-Innocents Abroad: The Beginnings of American Biblical Archeology." Not only were American archaeologists active in nineteenth century Palestine, but they were innovative in their techniques, and applied a practical, no-nonsense approach to their endeavors. From the founding of the American Palestine Exploration Society to the famous Samaria Expedition of 1908, we will explore the considerable influence of American scholars on the archaeology of the Holy Land. Register and pay here. Price is $6 for ASOR members and $12 for non-members. All proceeds will support membership scholarships and online resources.
