Black Scholars Matter Initiative – Scholarship Opportunity
ASOR is excited to share that we are partnering with Humans Against Poor Scholarship (HAPS) on a grant opportunity for undergraduate Black students contemplating further study of the ancient Near East. Winners of the BSM grant who attend ASOR’s Annual Meeting will receive one year’s conference registration and a two-year student membership, as well as $1,000 toward conference expenses. In addition, successful applicants are paired with a mentor during the conference. This initiative begins in 2021, but you can contact ASOR directly about scholarships to participate in this year’s virtual meeting. To learn more about the BSM grant, click here.
