2019 Call For Papers
ASOR invites paper and poster proposals for the 2019 Annual Meeting to be held November 20-23 at The Westin San Diego. Individual paper abstracts can be submitted beginning January 15, 2019. All abstracts must be submitted via ASOR’s Online Abstract Management System, powered by Oxford Abstracts. Read More ...
Excavation Fellowship Deadline: February 1st
Our excavation fellowships and grant proposals, including new fellowships for active/reserve military and veterans, have due dates coming up on February 1, 2019. Applications are being accepted for the $7000 William Dever Fellowship for Biblical Scholars and all of the $2000 fellowships for excavation participants. Read More ...
 
Call for Nominations for ASOR Vice President
The Officers Nominations Committee solicits nominations for Vice President of ASOR position for a three-year term January 1, 2020 - December 31, 2022. Expressions of interest or nominations for Vice President should be sent by no later than February 15, 2019. The Vice President’s primary responsibilities will be to chair the Chairs Coordinating Council and serve on ASOR’s Executive Committee. The Vice President shall also perform such additional duties as the Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee, the President, or the Board Chair may from time to time prescribe. Read More ...
ASOR Standing Session Chair Applications 
ASOR invites applications from members to chair the ASOR Standing Session, Archaeology of Anatolia. Session Chairs volunteer to serve one term (3 years) with the possibility of renewing for a second term. Responsibilities include soliciting paper proposals, reviewing proposals, assembling the session documents for the program book, and facilitating the session on-site during the Annual Meeting. The application form is simple and can be completed online. Applications are due by February 1, 2019. Further information for ASOR Session Chairs is available here

Digital Hammurabi Fellowship
The H.A.P.S. summer scholarship is possibly the first crowd-funded
grant aimed at helping humanities Ph.D. students - specifically, those
