| 2018 Call for Posters Deadline: August 1st |
|
Are you getting ready for an exciting field season or summer research? Did you miss the Call for Papers and still want to share your work with colleagues at the 2018 ASOR Annual Meeting? You have until August 1st to submit a poster proposal to the Projects on Parade Poster Session. Posters are an ideal format for presenting archaeological projects, a technical aspect of your project, a spectacular find from the field season, or a complex graphic and/or quantitive data. Poster abstracts are published in the Annual Meeting Program and Abstract book and authors will have the opportunity to stand with their poster and meet with attendees during the Projects on Parade Poster Session on Saturday, November 17 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center. | Mortuary Archaeology and Bioarchaeology Field School |
|
The field school is a joint project of the University of Kashan (Iran), Iranian Center for Archeological Research (ICAR) and the University of Warsaw (Poland) in Estark-Joshaqan in central Iran. It offers students the opportunity to participate in excavations at an exciting Iron Age cemetery and to learn how to properly handle excavated ancient human skeletons through cleaning, documentation and scientific analyses. The course is destined for students and graduates in archaeology, anthropology or biology, but also people interested in the past with no prior experience in excavations. Five students from abroad and seven Iranian students will be accepted. Read more ... |
