Call for Papers: 2018 ASOR Annual Meeting
ASOR is currently accepting abstracts for its 2018 Annual Meeting, to be held November 14-17 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center in Denver, CO. The deadline to submit paper abstracts is February 15, 2018. Please visit the ASOR Annual Meeting website to read the Call for Papers, the participation guidelines, and to see the list of 2018 Sessions and Workshops. ASOR welcomes submissions from all Regular, Retired, Sustaining, Graduate, and Early Career Members.

ASOR Standing Session Chair Nominations
ASOR seeks nominations to fill two Session Chair openings for the ASOR Standing Sessions: GIS and Remote Sensing in Archaeology and Reports on Current Excavations (Non-ASOR Affiliated). Session Chairs volunteer to serve one term (three years) with the possibility of renewing for a second term. Further information for ASOR Session Chairs is available here. Remembrance: Lawrence Stager
From colleagues at Harvard comes the sad news that Lawrence E. Stager died unexpectedly at his home in Concord, MA on Friday, December 29, 2017. He was Dorot Professor of the Archaeology of Israel Emeritus at Harvard, Director of the Leon Levy Expedition to Ashkelon and a long-time member of ASOR. He was 74. Read more ...
Urban Jewish Heritage Conference: Call for Papers
The Urban Jewish Heritage Conference will be held in the World Heritage City of Krakow in Poland. The conference will bring together academics, managers, planners, policy makers and community leaders and the conference is designed to encourage provocative, creative and constructive dialogue across different sectors and different disciplines and will feature case studies and best practice.
