Statement Regarding Revised US Travel Restrictions
Click here to read ASOR's statement in response to the revised Executive Order on US travel restrictions. In addition to raising concerns about the order, the statement notes that ASOR and its members stand ready to share with the US Government accounts of our experiences working with colleagues from countries named in the original and revised Executive Orders. These experiences demonstrate how interactions between the US and the nations in question can foster healthy and productive relations.

New Individual Membership Rates
In a , ASOR announced new membership rates effective immediately, as well as an update on future membership rate changes. In an effort to address concerns raised by our members, we've decreased the rates for student members and created a new membership rate for those in the early stages of their career. Junior Scholars Committee Seeks New Members
Applications are now open for ASOR’s Junior Scholars Committee (2017-2019). ASOR Junior Scholars include all ASOR members who qualify for the following levels of membership: Early Career, Graduate, and Undergraduate. Applications are due April 6, 2017. Remembrance: Ronald Haznedl
Ronald Haznedl, 81, died February 16, 2017 after a long illness. He was a long term Instructor of Philosophy and Anthropology at McHenry County College, Crystal Lake, Illinois, and an avid and accomplished Palestinian archaeologist. At MCC he designed and introduced a new course on the Archaeology of the Ancient Middle East into the curriculum. This remembrance was written by James E. Digital Version of Pyla-Koutsopetria I: Archaeological Survey of an Ancient Coastal Town
ASOR is pleased to release a digital version of Pyla-Koutsopetria I: Archaeological Survey of an Ancient Coastal Town (2014) with the help of the authors and editors of the volume. This digital version has been modified to include links to the archaeological data produced from 2003-2011 during almost a decade of intensive pedestrian survey and study by the Pyla-Koutsopetria Archaeological Project (PKAP). By integrating PKAP field and study data with Pyla-Koutsopetria I, the reader can now “drill down” into the data through hyperlinked text in a PDF version of the book. Read more ...
