| Harris Grant Application Information and Guidelines |
ASOR expects to award a grant of $5,000 in 2017 to support an ASOR-affiliated field project. The Harris Endowment provides modest grants to worthy field projects that are CAP-affiliated, particularly to newer and smaller projects, to help them get started; and to discrete components of larger projects that can be completed with an award. The Endowment also provides support for off-season research, analysis, and publications. The application deadline is December 15, 2016. We hope to announce the successful application by January 15, 2017. Read more...

| Apply for CAP Project Affiliation |
After some years of discussion, CAP and the ASOR board voted unanimously to open up CAP project affiliation to our entire membership. This means CAP projects will now include projects from international members (not only North American). The main criterion of the application is that you accept the professional conduct policy. There are many advantages to having your archaeological project affiliated with ASOR, including networking with the ASOR professional archaeological network, eligibility for competing for CAP grants such as the $5,000 Harris Grant for archaeological research, a personal invitation to a CAP reception at the ASOR Annual Meeting in San Antonio hosted by ASOR President Susan Ackerman, and more. Please submit your application as soon as possible and not later than Tuesday, November 15th. Click here to be taken to instructions on how to apply for CAP affiliation. For questions, please contact Thomas E. Levy.
