| 2016 New Member-Organized Session Proposals and New Workshop Session Proposals |

ASOR members are invited to propose new sessions and workshops for the 2016 Annual Meeting to be held in San Antonio, November 16-19, 2016. ASOR members may propose Member-Organized Sessions around a specific theme, or Workshop Sessions that minimize formal presentation in favor of open discussion. Deadline for session and workshop proposals is December 15, 2015. Read more... |

The ACOR Newsletter, including the current 2015 Summer issue, can now be found on the ACOR website. ACOR's first newsletter was issued in November, 1989 by Dr. Bert de Vries, who served as Director of ACOR between 1988-1991. | CAARI Fellowships for Academic Year 2016-2017 |
The Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI) in Nicosia, Cyprus offers an active fellowship program for both pre- and post-doctoral research. Fellowship opportunities include CAARI-sponsored fellowships as well as several fellowships sponsored by others, such as Fulbright research fellowships and CAORC multi-country fellowships. | Two Harris Grants of $5,000 Each Available for ASOR-Affiliated Excavation Projects |
|
The Harris Endowment provides grants to worthy field projects that are ASOR-affiliated, particularly to newer and smaller projects, to help them get started; and to discrete components of larger projects that can be completed with an award. The Harris Endowment may also be used to provide support for off-season research, analysis, and publications. For 2016, ASOR plans to award two grants of $5,000 each. The awards will be made to the PI's of two ASOR-affliated projects. The application deadline is December 15, 2015 (please note the deadline is earlier than last year). | Second Annual William Dever Fellowship Available for $7,000 |
|
The William G. Dever Archaeological Fellowship for Biblical Scholars was established in 2015 by an anonymous donor. This prestigious fellowship enters its second year in 2016, and the amount will be increased to $7,000. This two–month travel-study award will be made available in the summer of 2016 to a qualified American non-tenured faculty member in the field of biblical studies who wants to acquire elementary, first-hand experience in field archaeology and research in Israel.
