Call for 2016 Member-Organized Session and Workshop Proposals
ASOR is currently accepting proposals for 2016 Member-Organized Sessions and Workshops. The application form is simple and only requires a brief description and a list of 4 or more potential speakers and paper topics. The deadline to submit proposals is (TODAY) December 15, 2015. If you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to contact Arlene Press.

Harris Grants for ASOR-Affiliated Excavation Projects Deadline TODAY!
The Harris Endowment provides grants to worthy field projects that are ASOR-affiliated, particularly to newer and smaller projects, to help them get started; and to discrete components of larger projects that can be completed with an award. The Harris Endowment may also be used to provide support for off-season research, analysis, and publications. For 2016, ASOR plans to award two grants of $5,000 each. The awards will be made to the PI's of two ASOR-affliated projects. The application deadline is TODAY, December 15, 2015. We hope to announce the successful applications by January 15, 2016. William Dever Fellowship Deadline TODAY!
The William G. Dever Archaeological Fellowship for Biblical Scholars was established in 2015 by an anonymous donor. This prestigious fellowship enters its second year in 2016, and the amount will be increased to $7,000. This two–month travel-study award will be made available in the summer of 2016 to a qualified American non-tenured faculty member in the field of biblical studies who wants to acquire elementary, first-hand experience in field archaeology and research in Israel.
