| Obituary: Dr. Roger W. Anderson, Jr., Long Time Hesi Digger |
"Roger W. Anderson, Jr., long time Hesi digger and staff member, passed away unexpectedly in October at his home in Mukilteo, Washington. At the time of his death he was hard at work preparing the Early Bronze III materials excavated at Hesi for publication. He had made great progress in collecting and organizing the materials. He was looking forward to presenting a talk in San Diego on finding, identifying, and reinterpreting the Early Bronze Age materials that Petrie and Bliss had excavated at Hesi in the 1890s. More than that, however, Roger was a really nice guy who will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues." Read more... |

ASOR was also well represented. The weekend was superbly organized by Sheldon Fox, who is not only a former Duke digger but the former Treasurer of ASOR (and a current ASOR Trustee). Read more... |
