| March Fellowship Madness 2021 Success |
Thanks to 63 ASOR members, March Fellowship Madness 2021 was a success. We didn’t reach our goal of $20,000, but we made tremendous progress ($14,000) towards earning the $150,000 challenge gift. Every dollar of the $14,000 contributed during March will be matched with two dollars. We thus raised a total of $42,000 in March towards endowing BIPOC fellowships in perpetuity. Read more . . .

Panel Discussion on "Archaeogaming" on April 18
|
Register for our next webinar on April 18, at 7:30 pm EDT, featuring Tine Rassalle, Shannon Martino, Matthew Winter, and Michael Zimmerman and "Archaeogaming: Why Video Games Deserve Their Own Archaeology." This panel of scholars will introduce you to the key concepts of “archaeogaming,” or the intersection of archaeology and video games. A rapidly emerging field, archaeogaming studies the representation of archaeology in video games, the historical narratives in video games, the use of video games as pedagogical tools in the archaeological classroom, and so much more. The discussants will seek to demonstrate how video games can no longer be overlooked as tools to communicate with a general audience and how video games are intriguing new subjects and places for archaeologists to study. Register and pay here. Price is $5 for ASOR members and $10 for non-members. All proceeds will support initiatives to benefit Students and Early Career Scholars.
